Full House Renovation Edinburgh
Grade B Listed Georgion Property, Old Church Lane, Duddingston, Edinburgh
Cedar led a full house renovation project on a detached, grade B listed Georgian house in Duddingston Village, Edinburgh.
The client wanted to mimic the interior of their previous London Property in their Edinburgh property including all colours and furnishings. Being in a new city, it was important for the client to create a home from home in their new residence. In order to do so, this required a complete rip-out and overhaul of the interior of this property.
To convert this property from a family house to a luxurious and elegant living space, all works were completed, from joinery, electrical, plumbing & heating, plastering and decoration works.
Cedar completed works on the ornate staircase and hallway to transform this area into an impressive house entrance. The stone was repaired, walls plastered and once the construction works had been done, a stair runner fitted and the finishing touches such as a chandelier was fitted.
In terms of the kitchen and dining area, we created an open-plan layout and sleek space, complementing the light from the windows and sky lights. This created a contemporary but traditional feel, in keeping with its Georgian heritage.
Cedar also created a bright bathroom for their client, fitting full wall and flooring tiles. All sash-and-case windows were fully renovated, retaining some period features in the property. Once all of the construction works had been completed, we furnished the property using a colour palette to match the colour scheme of the client’s London property.
This project demonstrates the scale of renovation work which Cedar has experience in, with Cedar fully redecorating the entire private residence.
